PDRM started investigations into an investment scam syndicate involving a businessman with the title of ‘Datuk Wira’ R
in November 2023, #PDRM started investigations into an investment scam syndicate involving a businessman with the title of ‘Datuk Wira’, who cheated hundreds of individuals and companies to the tune of nearly RM1 billion after being exposed by 𝗠𝗮𝗣𝗲𝗥 (𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 & 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽).
based on records, several state government agencies and GLCs in Kedah, Melaka and Perlis including Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Piatu in Penang as well as an Islamic Research were believed to have also fallen victim to the same 'Datuk Wira' fraudulent scheme.
several victims had come forward to expose an investment scam amounting to RM1 billion of which this 'Datuk Wira' had been operating his illicit activities for more than 15 years.
it was reported that the 'Datuk Wira' is well protected by a 'Tan Sri' who has influence including PDRM, #MACC and Attorney General Chambers to end any investigations against the 'Datuk Wira'.

the same group, 𝗠𝗮𝗣𝗲𝗥 (𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 & 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽) made another press conference yesterday, 8 October 2025, urged the authorities to expedite the investigations and prosecution of the 'Datuk Wira'.
one of the victims, Lee Rodger Meiklejohn and few others have made an official report to the Malaysian Anti Corruption Comission (MACC). the report was filed after an investigation that had been ongoing since 2023 has stalled without any actions taken against the 'Datuk Wira'.
𝗠𝗮𝗣𝗲𝗥 is calling an immediate investigation and freezing of the assets of all companies linked to the 'Datuk Wira' to recover investors fund. the group explained they have tracked the winding up of several companies held by the 'Datuk Wira' to avoid the assets being frozen.
according to 𝗠𝗮𝗣𝗲𝗥 spokesperson, Shah Abdul Malek, the case does not seem to be making any progress since 2023 even though complete documents and evidence have been submitted. they are concerned that there may be procedural delays or interference.
the official report made to the MACC also examined possible violations under several key laws including; Akta Pasaran Saham Dan Perkhidmatan 2007, Akta Syarikat 2016 and Kanun Keseksaan.
𝗠𝗮𝗣𝗲𝗥 has called on any investors who were victims of the scheme to come forward to make a report or contact MaPeR Secretariat at 017 4477 675 or email maper.action@gmail com.
